    When given a choice, I no longer use MySQL and go for PostGreSQL. The podcast, FLOSS Weekly, interviews one of the guys from PostGreSQL. I like the part where he talks about the philosophy difference between the MySQL and PostGreSQL.

    I think your points are valid I just don’t think it is going to end. It just adapts. If something is going to kill Open Source it’s not going to be companies making commercial version. It is going to FUD like patent disputes and the such,
