It’s Dead Jim #4d

Well, I got the hard drive and everything worked OK for awhile, then I started having trouble again. It turns out the problem is in the IDE controller and not the hard drive. That means the motherboard needs replaced. So I contaced HP again, and they overnighted me shipping materials with a prepaid overnight shipping label for me to pack up my laptop and send to them. We’ll see how long this takes. I’m still impressed with their level of service. I’ve never had a company overnight me an empty box so I can overnight my broken laptop to them.
